Traceroute is a network diagnostic tool that displays the route taken by packets across a network and measures any transit delays. Most operating systems support the\u00a0traceroute<\/code>\u00a0command.<\/p>

If you are experiencing connectivity issues with your Cloudflare-proxied website and plan to ask for assistance, Cloudflare Support frequently asks customers for the output of a traceroute.<\/p>

If you activated your website through a hosting partner, you should traceroute to\u00a0www.example.com<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(or another subdomain that is being proxied through Cloudflare).<\/p>

Run traceroute on Windows<\/strong><\/h3>
  1. Open the\u00a0Start<\/strong>\u00a0menu.<\/li>
  2. Click\u00a0Run<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. To open the command line interface, type\u00a0cmd<\/strong>\u00a0and then click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>
  4. At the command line prompt, type:
