Step 1<\/strong><\/p> Open Windows Control Panel.<\/p> On your desktop taskbar, search for “Control Panel”. Click on “Control Panel”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 2<\/strong><\/p> Select Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016).<\/p> Sort the “View by” tab by “Large icons” and select “Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 3<\/strong><\/p> Select “Email Accounts”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 4<\/strong><\/p> Select an email account and tap “Change”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 5<\/strong><\/p> Check Mail Setup – Outlook.<\/p> Check Mail Setup – Outlook settings are input correctly:<\/p> – Account Type: IMAP \/ POP (Recommended: IMAP)<\/p> – Incoming Mail Server: mail.example.com (IMAP) \/ mail.example.com\u00a0(POP)<\/p> – Outgoing Mail Server: mail.example.com<\/p> – User Name: your email address in full i.e. (marvel@example.com)<\/p> – Password: Login password for Webmail.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 6<\/strong><\/p> Select “More Settings”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 7<\/strong><\/p> Check additional Outgoing Server settings.<\/p> 1. Move your cursor to the tab “Outgoing Server” next to “General”. Click on the tab “Outgoing Server”.<\/p> 2. Check the box “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.<\/p> 3. Check the box “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 8<\/strong><\/p> Check Advanced Tab (ports, encryption, and root folder path)<\/p> 1. Move your cursor to the “Advanced” tab. Click on the “Advanced” tab.<\/p> 2. Check whether ports and encryption are correctly configured.<\/p> Default settings:<\/p> – Incoming server (IMAP) – port 993 – encryption SSL\/TLS<\/p> – Outgoing server (SMTP) – port 465 – encryption SSL\/TLS<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Note:<\/strong> If you prefer POP as account type, below is the setting to enter in Incoming Server under Advanced Tab for port and encryption.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t 3. Ensure “INBOX” in capital letter is entered in the Root Folder path.<\/p> 4. Click “OK”.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Step 9<\/strong><\/p> SAVE your settings.<\/p> Click NEXT and Outlook will proceed to test the account settings.<\/p> Click CLOSE when testing is completed.<\/p> Click FINISH to complete setup.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
