Why rent a Mac mini M5 Pro in the Cloud

The M5 Pro chip is built for heavier work than a standard Mac mini, and renting means you only pay while you need it. Looking for another model? See our Mac mini M6 or Cloud Mac mini M4 plans.

15-core CPU

Compile large Xcode projects and run parallel builds in less time.

16-core GPU

Speed up video exports, rendering and graphics heavy work.

16-core Neural Engine

Run Core ML and on device AI tasks without tying up your own computer.

24GB unified memory

One shared pool for CPU and GPU, with room for big projects and AI models.

Dedicated hardware

Your Mac mini M5 Pro is reserved for you. It is a real Mac, not a virtual machine, and it is not shared with other users.

Run more at once

Keep Xcode, simulators, a browser and your build tools open together. The 15-core CPU and 24GB of unified memory give them room to work side by side.

Work from anywhere

Connect remotely with Deskin, SSH or Screen Sharing and get a full macOS desktop whenever you need it.

Keep your own computer free

Send long builds, renders and training runs to the Mac mini M5 Pro, so your laptop stays fast and cool while the work gets done.

What you can do with a Mac mini M5 Pro in the Cloud

If it only runs on a Mac, you can run it here. These are the jobs the M5 Pro handles best.

Build and ship iOS and macOS apps

Write, compile, archive and submit to the App Store in Xcode on native macOS. The 15-core CPU cuts build times on large projects.

XcodeSwiftTestFlight

Build iOS versions of cross platform apps

Flutter, React Native and Unity projects need a Mac to produce an iOS build. Use this one as your iOS build machine and keep the rest of your team on Windows or Linux.

FlutterReact NativeUnity

Test on iPhone and iPad simulators

Run your app on simulated devices and automate UI tests, without a Mac on every developer's desk.

Xcode SimulatorXCTest

Run CI/CD for Apple apps

Use it as a dedicated build runner so iOS and macOS pipelines never wait for someone's laptop.

FastlaneJenkinsGitHub Actions

Work with AI and machine learning

Run Core ML and Apple's MLX framework on the Neural Engine and GPU. The 24GB of unified memory decides how large a model you can load.

Edit and render video

Send Final Cut Pro or Compressor exports to the 16-core GPU and keep working on your own computer in the meantime.

Keep a Mac online around the clock

Run scheduled scripts, bots, backups and automation on a Mac that stays up in our data centre, with remote access whenever you need it.

Mac mini M5 Pro in the Cloud FAQ – Frequently asked questions

What is a Mac mini M5 Pro in the Cloud?

It is a real Mac mini with the M5 Pro chip (15-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 24GB unified memory and 512GB storage) hosted in our Malaysia data centre. You connect to it remotely and use full macOS from anywhere.

What can I use a Mac mini M5 Pro in the Cloud for?

Common uses are iOS and macOS app development in Xcode, CI/CD builds, app testing, AI and machine learning work, and video editing and rendering. You can also keep a Mac online around the clock for scripts and automation.

Is this a real Mac or a virtual machine?

It is a real Mac mini dedicated to your account. Nothing is emulated, so Xcode and every macOS only tool behaves exactly as it would on a physical desk.

Is the Mac mini M5 Pro shared with other users?

No. Each plan comes with its own dedicated Mac mini M5 Pro reserved exclusively for you. Resources are not shared.

Can I build and publish iOS apps with Xcode on it?

Yes. The Mac runs native macOS, so you can compile, test, archive and submit apps to the App Store in Xcode. You will need your own Apple Developer account to publish.

Can I use it for CI/CD builds?

Yes. Because it is a full Mac, it works as a build machine for Apple app pipelines, for example with Fastlane, Jenkins or a GitHub Actions self hosted runner.

Can I test my app on iPhone and iPad simulators?

Yes. Xcode includes simulators for iPhone and iPad, and you can run automated UI tests on them without a Mac on every developer's desk.

Is the M5 Pro good for AI and machine learning?

It suits Core ML and local model work. The 16-core Neural Engine handles on device inference, and the 24GB of unified memory is shared by the CPU and GPU, so it sets the size of the model you can load.

Can I edit and render video on it?

Yes. Apps such as Final Cut Pro and Compressor can use the 16-core GPU for exports and rendering. Remote desktop works best for starting a render and letting it run, while smooth live scrubbing depends on your internet connection.

How can I reboot my Mac mini M5 Pro?

Submit a support ticket and our team will reboot it for you.
