Why rent a Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra in the Cloud
The Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra are Apple's high-end Macs, made for work that outgrows a standard Mac: large AI models, pro video, 3D rendering and big builds.
Dedicated hardware
Your Mac is reserved for you. It is a real Mac, not a virtual machine, and it is not shared with other users.
Room for big models and big projects
36GB of memory and 512GB of storage on M5 Max, 96GB and 1TB on M5 Ultra. Enough space for model weights, video footage, 3D scenes and large datasets.
Work from anywhere
Connect remotely with Deskin, SSH or Screen Sharing and get a full macOS desktop whenever you need it.
Keep your own computer free
Send long renders, exports and training runs to your cloud Mac, so your laptop stays fast and cool while the work gets done.
What you can do with a Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra in the Cloud
If a job needs lots of cores and memory, you can run it here. These are the workloads the Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra handle best.
Run large language models locally
Unified memory is shared by the CPU and GPU, so it decides how large a model you can load. M5 Max with 36GB suits midsize quantized models. M5 Ultra with 96GB has room for much larger ones.
Fine-tune and train machine learning models
Use the GPU and Neural Engine for training, fine tuning and batch inference, and leave the run going while you work on something else.
Edit, grade and export pro video
Work with high-resolution footage and several streams at once. A 32-core or 64-core GPU shortens exports, and the work keeps running on the Mac while your own computer stays free.
Render 3D and motion graphics
Send heavy scenes and compositions to the GPU and keep large project files and caches on 512GB or 1TB of storage.
Compile large codebases and run CI/CD
Use the extra CPU cores for parallel builds of large iOS and macOS projects, several simulators at once, and a dedicated runner that Apple app pipelines never wait on.
Analyze large datasets
Load big datasets into memory and process them on many cores, with space to store the raw files and the results.
Produce music and audio
Large sessions with many tracks, plugins and sample libraries need cores, memory and disk space. Keep them all on one Mac you can reach remotely.
Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra in the Cloud FAQ – Frequently asked questions
What are the Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra in the Cloud?
They are real Macs hosted in our data centre. The M5 Max has an 18-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 36GB unified memory and 512GB storage. The M5 Ultra has a 30-core CPU, 64-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, 96GB unified memory and 1TB storage. You connect remotely and use full macOS from anywhere.
What can I use the Mac Studio M5 Max and M5 Ultra for?
They are made for heavy workloads: running large language models locally, training and fine tuning machine learning models, pro video editing and export, 3D rendering, large Xcode builds and CI/CD, data analysis and audio production.
Can I run large language models on it?
Yes. The memory is shared by the CPU and GPU, so it sets the size of the model you can load: 36GB on the M5 Max and 96GB on the M5 Ultra. Tools such as MLX, llama.cpp, Ollama and LM Studio run on macOS.
Can I edit video and render 3D scenes on it?
Yes. Apps such as Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Blender and Cinema 4D can use the GPU for exports and rendering. Remote desktop works best for starting a job and letting it run, while smooth live scrubbing depends on your internet connection.
Is this a real Mac or a virtual machine?
It is a real Mac dedicated to your account. Nothing is emulated, so every macOS only tool behaves exactly as it would on a physical desk.
Is the Mac shared with other users?
No. Each plan comes with its own dedicated Mac reserved exclusively for you. Resources are not shared.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 1 to 14 business days.
Can I build and publish iOS apps with Xcode on it?
Yes. The Mac runs native macOS, so you can compile, test, archive and submit apps to the App Store in Xcode. You will need your own Apple Developer account to publish.
How can I reboot my Mac Studio?
Submit a support ticket and our team will reboot it for you.
